Project
With an increased life expectancy the number of elders in India is rapidly increasing. Once their health starts deteriorating and medical and care costs increase, they become a burden to the family, especially if they are on meager incomes.
A centre, like the one Elder Care provides, also addresses the loss of dignity elders have to bare when they become dependent on others for their daily activities in their twilight years.
At the Elder Care Centre, there are 49 others suffering from various geriatric conditions who need help for their daily activities. Established in 2014, the Trust is dedicated to the elderly patients, who are completely or partially dependent for their daily activities.
The campaign is to provide nutritious food to these patients under palliative care.
